Orvieto turned green on Saint Patrick’s Day with Global Greeening

Orvieto celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day joining the Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening initiative, at its 9th edition. Together with Saint Patrick’s Well, another popular monument of the town was illuminated with the Irish shamrock thanks to Grandi Proiezioni, the company specialised in conception, planning and implementation of luminous scenography, distributor for Goboservice projectors in Tuscany.

Golux invades the French capital

Golux, a new series of Gobo Projector made by Goboservice, recently debuted internationally in Paris, projecting gobos on architectural works such as La Tour Eiffel, the “Invalides” dome, the Arc de Triomphe and the National Library. The four most important monuments have unintentionally been the backdrop to the self-promotional incursions of the well-known French artist, John Hamon – the “most famous unknown face of the capital” – as the media renamed it, whose enigmatic smile has recently become more renowned than that of the Gioconda, especially now that it has been projected with a powerful and concentrated beam of light on the monuments of Paris.

LED Lamps

LED Lamps

When we speak about LED lamps we actually mean LED luminaires that today are mainly of two types: SMD and COB.
LED (or light emitting diode) is a light source based on a semiconductor diode. When it is on, the electrons are able to recombine with the “holes” inside the diode, releasing energy in the form of photons: this effect is called electroluminescence.
Both SMD and COB are made of different diodes, however the COB has a single circuit.
