Since June 24, 2023, the Loverese summer, thanks to the collaboration of Goboservice, has been lit up with lights and colors on the occasion of “La Notte Romantica,” an initiative that combines Italian music and the works of art of master Marco Lodola, on an area of 10,000 square meters. Master Lodola – an artist of renown and originality, known for the installation of works at museums, international art galleries and sets on prestigious stages such as Sanremo as well as, for his collaboration in famous television programs and films – is the author of numerous works made with the fundamental element of physical being: light. In fact, the author skillfully uses this tool as a means of painting and making real light sculptures with bold, bright colors.
This year, the “Lovere il Borgo della Luce” event, now in its 13th year, will host an extraordinary event with which tribute will be paid to Italian music through the use of visual art and through the conception of a graphic design, created entirely on full color gobos and on an animation disc and elaborated in a colorful pop style.
Goboservice had the task of taking care of the scenographic lighting of the event; the high quality mapped projections produced by the company, will illuminate – thanks to the technical specifications of more than 30 Divum 50k led projectors – the historical buildings of Lovere giving new perspectives and views of the charming old town, until September 10, 2023; important city spaces such as Piazza Tredici Martiri, Piazza Garibaldi, Palazzo Tadini and Piazza V. Emanuele, will be animated in a surreal atmosphere that is already giving citizens and tourists enchanted atmospheres full of magic.
Master Lodola’s artworks will represent some of the best-known and most significant names in Italian music, expressed by luminous creations and accompanied by phrases from the songs that made famous artists such as Domenico Modugno, with his iconic song “Volare,” and Mina, with the catchphrase “Sei grande, grande, grande.”
These will be just a few of the key players in the mapping. In fact, other Italian pop artists such as Jovanotti, Ligabue, Max Pezzali and Renato Zero will not fail to be represented. It will, therefore, be an unprecedented work with which the Pinguini Tattici Nucleari (a musical group born in the province of Bergamo, which represents the area in an important way), the “Pooh,” with Bergamascan Roby Facchinetti among the members of the group, and Ivan Cattaneo, who was born just a stone’s throw from Lovere, will also be celebrated.

In particular, Piazza Tredici Martiri will host “Il Volto degli Altri,” a work by Marco Lodola, to which Goboservice, once again, has given its technical-professional contribution to give the right emphasis to the uniqueness of the light installation: a work that represents a crowd of brightly colored people without a defined face and that conveys an aura of timelessness with a strong emotional impact. This figuration, in fact, does not deviate from the other archiectural projections as it evokes in an evocative way the same world of music and the artists featured in the remaining projections, going beyond the very idea of “time” and inviting reflection on the immortality of art as capable of engaging different generations.
The municipal administration, in collaboration with Goboservice and Marco Lodola, who is strongly linked to the reality of the Lombard town, thus continues to enhance the architectural, historical and artistic beauty of Lovere, offering residents and tourists a wonderful artistic experience. Goboservice, with its expertise in light installations and projections, has helped bring to life the extraordinary initiatives of the municipality of Lovere, transforming, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, into a “Village of Light,” thanks also to the careful selection of works of art by master Lodola.
Goboservice, in the year of “Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023,” has made possible an unforgettable experience; a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in art and music, in the picturesque scenery of Lovere. The “Borgo della Luce” has now become one of the most important events on Lake Iseo, attracting a growing number of tourists from all over Lombardy and northern Italy. Goboservice has been able to count among its work, with increasing satisfaction and commitment, this unmissable edition of the event.
