Everyday heroes highlighted by Goboservice

Looks, symbols, uniforms. Four full-color gobos encapsulated 212 years of commitment to serving people.

They are the Carabinieri, the “everyday heroes,” men and women, imprinted on the facade of the Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria on the occasion of June 5, the annual founding anniversary of the force.

For the first time in the more than century-long history of one of the nation’s most beloved and identifiable institutions, the anniversary is celebrated outside the Roman institutional palaces by moving to Reggio Calabria.

On the shores of the Straits, Commander General of the Arma Salvatore Luongo along with the country’s top civil and military leaders are then greeted not only by the warm and sincere embrace of the people, but also by the now well-established luminous calling card consisting of the architectural projections mapped on the main facade of the MArRc, which, coincidentally, stands a few dozen meters from the Provincial Headquarters of the Arma.

The projection that accompanies the prestigious guests’ stay in Reggio is the result of a long dialogue between Goboservice’s graphic design team and two creators who passionately and expertly promote on social media the human image of men and women belonging to the Carabinieri: Tatiana Pasqualini and Daniel Sorza.

The former, using the drawing technique, imprints on canvas the looks and emotions of personnel on duty, while the latter uses the camera to capture solemn events and moments of service.

Both are capable of bringing out a profound truth that lies behind uniforms, both ordinary and representative ones, and that goes beyond a certain rhetoric: there is a profound humanity in the service of the country, and a present of commitment and hope can be built on this value.

The meeting between Goboservice and the two artists, facilitated by the provincial commander of Reggio Calabria, General Cesario Totaro, generated this luminous synthesis of values that rested on the travertine canvas of Palazzo Piacentini thanks to the willingness of the MArRc management and the collaboration of the City Council, which authorized the installation of the self-supporting pole and the power supply of the projectors.

The overall complex of the “Giuseppe De Nava” square, which is developed as a natural appurtenance of the Archaeological Museum, was thus once again enriched with the light narrative connected to the event, reaffirming the evocative and impactful power of the Goboservice-branded projections that are highly appreciated by residents and tourists alike.
