A symbol capable of telling the story starting from the city’s identity roots, but with an eye to the future: the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria (MArRC) presented stackeholders with the new brand conceived by Industria01, a Catania-based communications agency, which oversaw its complete restyling. An ambitious project designed to strengthen the MArRC’s role as a point of reference for Calabria’s cultural heritage, enhancing it nationally and internationally.

The MArRC’s new logo was born out of the need to communicate the historical and symbolic value of the museum in a more effective and contemporary way, giving value to all the invaluable collections present. Thus, the pictogram becomes a visual synthesis that harmoniously evokes the rationalist architecture of Palazzo Piacentini, the museum’s headquarters, the unmistakable profile of the Riace Bronzes, universal icons of classicism, and the multiple collections of unique and priceless artifacts. The geometric lines, elegant tones and modern typography reflect the museum’s dual soul: guardian of memory and a space open to innovation and dialogue with the present.

To seal the launch of the new visual identity, Goboservice was called upon to sign the creative transposition of the logo on the facade of Palazzo Piacentini, through a scenographic architectural mapping created with the powerful Divum 50K projectors. A high-tech artistic intervention, which once again transformed the museum into a stage of light and culture, merging architecture and visual communication in an exciting and evocative combination.

“We are excited to present this new image of the museum,” said Fabrizio Sudano, director of the MArRC, “because it represents an important step in the journey of enhancing and promoting our heritage. The logo-as well as the website also re-engineered-are strategic tools to dialogue with an increasingly wide and transversal public, and tell the story of the museum not only as a place of conservation, but as a living, attractive and contemporary space.”

With this operation, the MArRC reaffirms its mission: to be an ambassador of Calabria’s archaeological heritage to the world, capable of engaging, inspiring and innovating. And in this it will always find Goboservice at its side.
