15 Goboservice projectors between Golive 400 and Golux 1000 and 600 were installed around the Rocca di Vignola (Mo) for the ambitious project-promoted by the Vignola Foundation-of virtual restoration of the walls. The many visitors to the castle in this way they were able to appreciate, for the entire period from July to December 2018, the original frescoes with perfect fidelity to the colors. The initiative is part of the larger project “Sogno o son d’Este” which aims to “bring to light and to popularize the figurative complex that characterized numerous architectures in various places related to the House of Este.”
The operation was based on a study and research work in the historical-artistic and archival fields, combined with accurate technical-scientific investigations (3D laser scanner surveys of the buildings, architectural orthophotos made by drone, detailed orthophotos obtained with the gigapixel technique) and required the creation of numerous gobos necessary for both the initial mapping phase and the final projections.
